Throughout history, Catholics have long honoured the Blessed Virgin Mary during the month of May. To symbolize her significance, in the Church and in our lives, “May Crowning” is set up to display her queenship as the mother of Jesus. Today we held our May Crowning. Skender and Maya represented the Grade 2 First Holy Communion class as they placed the flowers at Mary’s feet and crowned Mary our Blessed Mother, while Alex represented the Grade 7 Confirmation class as he delivered the Gospel Message. The ceremony was led by our school choir along with many other students who participated in the readings.
